Ingredients

  • preheat the oven to 180 C
  • in a small pot, melt the butter or ghee and fry the garlic
  • add the flour, salt and pepper, whisk until there are no lumps
  • drizzle in milk while constantly whisking to make sure mixture is smooth
  • bring to boil, then remove from heat
  • peel potatoes and slice about 3 mm thick slices, or use red blade slicer
  • fan potato slices out in a baking dish
  • pour sauce on top of potatoes
  • sprinkle with grated cheese
  • bake for about one hour, until the top is bubbly and golden brown (cover with alu foil if needed)
  • optional: sprinkle parsley on top before serving
