
Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients
- 800 gr potatoes
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 2 tablespoons of butter or ghee
- 2 tablespoons of flour
- 2 cups of milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- handful of grated cheese
- (optional) parsley
- preheat the oven to 180 C
- in a small pot, melt the butter or ghee and fry the garlic
- add the flour, salt and pepper, whisk until there are no lumps
- drizzle in milk while constantly whisking to make sure mixture is smooth
- bring to boil, then remove from heat
- peel potatoes and slice about 3 mm thick slices, or use red blade slicer
- fan potato slices out in a baking dish
- pour sauce on top of potatoes
- sprinkle with grated cheese
- bake for about one hour, until the top is bubbly and golden brown (cover with alu foil if needed)
- optional: sprinkle parsley on top before serving
